People are always looking for a way to express and reinvent themselves. So while Britney Spears fails in that department, Ashley Simpson makes a noticeable change by daring to go dark, again. It seems color is blind…. when you’re in love with your hair.

Set in an Asian-influenced world of martial arts and elemental manipulation, the series follows the adventures of the latest of a long line of Avatars, Aang, and his friends in a quest to save the world from the ruthless Fire Nation.
I’ve been following this show since last year when my sister came over with the first season of Avatar in tow. I eagerly anticipate watching it more than I do Naruto now.
I haven’t watched with the same enthusiasm since seeing what three years of training has done for Naruto…..mostly notta. He’s still as clueless and reckless as ever which is not as amusing anymore since he’s no longer an unexperienced kid but a supposedly well-trained ninja (and I’m not talking about his improved sexy jutsus either).

Some more joyous news, E! Online reports Christina Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman also gave birth today. Good things come in pairs?

The official beauty queen wave
There was a pageant held for Miss Hmong International in Fresno last month. I love any kind of fashion show so of course I watched with glee as they crowned the New Miss Hmong Int. 2007-2008, Mercedes Lee, she’s a winner by name alone! She nearly got pinned to death, luckily she had a big head..er, hat.

Clickable: Fresno New Year Gathering
For those of you who aren’t aware (which is prob the majority…no offense taken) we have special events to celebrate the new year in individual cities where there are larger populations of Hmong people, I imagine there could be as many celebrations as there are states. It’s great for the singles crowd because you have ample opportunity to find a new year’s eve date before the actual new year…if you can’t get lucky in one city, try another!
Well, for me it holds more meaning than that but no need to go into it right now since I have pictures waiting to be seen. =D
A few of us in our tradition Hmong outfits . Me minus the hat, can’t mess with the hairdo you know…seriously though, I think my head shrunk (that would explain the missing braincells)…I can’t find one that fits properly. Good thing is that there is always next year, hooray for tradition!

Well, I’ll be darned (not really)….there’s another little miracle on the way. Jessica Alba, Cate Blanchett, and Halle Berry, to name a few, are already helping to preserve the next generation of beautiful people…we hope.
Is it too much to ask for pretty pregnancies and not sloppy ones…really now, the rich can afford to look good for us!
