The things we think and do not say

“I don’t have all the answers. In life, to be honest, I’ve failed as much as I’ve succeeded. But I love my wife. I love my life. I wish you my kind of success”-Jerry Maguire

Over the weekend, the bf and I needed some quality time together so he gave me 2 options; we could either (a) watch a movie (b) watch a movie, I naturally opted for (a) since I liked hearing it the first time more.

I love being able to get the movie theater experience while still maintaining an intimate atmosphere by watching it on our handy dandy projector.

Jerry Maguire, a story about a sports agent, wasn’t my idea of a “feel-good” movie….which is why I never felt inclined to see it in the first place but since the bf insisted and because it had a nice romantic theme song, Secret Garden, I was game. =D

After seeing the movie, I have to say that it’s probably one of the best movies out there because it has a truly inspiring message (and mission) to convey.

Success, in life, is not about gaining financial wealth. It’s how you treat those around you and especially those you love that will predict the outcome of your greatest triumphs.

It’s pretty lonely at the top if you’ve screwed everyone you know to get there…but it sure feels damn good, when you’re at your lowest, to know someone will be there, someone who cares. It’s enough to make you feel whole again and reminds you that there’s more to life than materialistic gains.

Thanks babe for your great collection of dvd’s! =D

Yes, I am dubbing this movie one of my all time favorites…also because Jonathan Lipnicki was so enjoyable to watch, the kid made my heart melt.

I have never seen that movie before although my husband keep suggesting that I rent it everytime we’re at Blockbuster. From what you wrote about the movie, I’m curious to see it now.

I can’t believe you’ve waited this long to see that movie! It’s one of my favorites as well. My husband, who is a football fanatic, LOVES that movie. We own the ancient “VHS” version, though come to think of it, we don’t even own a VHS player. LOL! He bought it back when it came out years ago. I’m glad you enjoyed it =)

lol, I still have VHS movies and player because we have old home videos on there. But I can’t say I prefer it over dvd players…they are so quick and easy and so yes, my loyalties have changed. =/
