Flower lovers paradise
We visited the Carlsbad Flower Fields this weekend and what a spectacular array of flowerage, I was riveted by their colorful display!
Ranunculus in bloom
They grow millions of these flowers to harvest the ranunculus bulbs. I felt like running through the fields and picking a bouquet full of them but I contained myself, barely. =d
I loved this area, it had beautiful ivy covered arches, a variety of different flowers, and a small fish pond which was very popular with the kids.
Orchid Festival
There were so many types of orchids, I was in orchid heaven! I wish we could have taken one home but we were worried they’d die in the hot and humid car while we grabbed lunch.
The lady’s slipper orchids were quite interesting.

I really loved those shots of the tulips you took, I wish I could have captured more of the flowers individually but we went as a group. I could have spent hours and hours in there just snapping away. hehe
This is the perfect time to go! I love being in Cali, I’ve never seen such beautiful landscaping.

And there are sooooo many types of orchids, right now I’m in love with Cymbidium Orchids and Dendrobium Orchids…mostly because they are used largely in weddings and I’ve been looking at wedding decor a lot these days, yikes! ahah
