It's a monster of a post but I love these type of events where everyone is dressed in their best (more or less). I sat through the whole Acedemy Awards show for these three things: the dresses, the winners, and Hugh Jackman. =) Last year Marion Cotillard's Jean Paul Gaultier shimmery mermaid dress (seen here) was my clear favorite but there were so many spectacular dresses this year I'll just name a few that really blew me away.
Diane Lane in Dolce & Gabbana. I am so enamored of this woman, she is ridiculously good-looking.
Sarah Jessica Parker in Christian Dior. If there were a queen of the glitterati, she would be it.
Anne Hathaway in Armani Privé was dazzling in every sense of the word.
Penelope Cruz in vintage Pierre Balmain. Finally a dress that I can say really suits her, magnifique!
Natalie Portman in Rodarte. Babes was singing her praises all night, but I have to agree, she is a true beauty.
Nicole Kidman in L'Wren Scott loves her white dresses but she hasn't bored me yet with them.

LoL i’ve been waiting for you to post these! i don’t watch these kind of shows anymore, and my coworker was talking about the dresses so i KNEW you were going to be posting them soon!! i was expecting them last night!! and my coworker was right….angelina jolie dress is the best one i like. simple, classy and sexy! =D

lol, yes, you can guarantee I will be posting and admiring these outstanding and outlandish dresses. My fascination with Hollywood glamor started with my first celebrity crush, Cindy Crawford and my love for it hasn’t wavered since. =D

By far, Angelina’s presence stood out the most that night! Even though she’s in her signature black, the fabric, the cut and style of the gown accentuates her womeness! Her bling polishes off the look. Her’s placed #1 on my list with Natalie Portman’s coming in close at #2.
Seriously, do they all agree on a color scheme before hand in a secret conference? I missed the color! There was a lot of stunning construction though! I loved watching! (And Hugh Jackman was adorable!)

lol, you’re right, this is actually the first time I have watched the Oscars in it’s entirety. I loved the part where 5 previous Best actors/actresses presented the award to their peers, that was awesome!
There was a lack of color on the red carpet which is why I loved Natalie Portman’s gown the instant I saw it, the splash of color was so refreshing. =D

I love your web page is so fashionably great! The pictures are amazing. My favorite at the Oscars were Natalie Portman and Penelope Cruz’s gowns. I just think they were amazingly constructed, the fabric was gorgeous as well as the color and of course, both actresses are so beautiful!!
