A little history, Beijing used to be called Peking (I think Peking is what some European guy wrote down when the Chinese locals kept saying Beijing! Beijing! .. oh? Peking?) Anyways.. you know what they say: When in Rome, act like the Romans… when in Beijing.. eat Beijing duck (must eat at Da Dong restaurant). It’s something you must do if it’s the only thing you do in Beijing. Well, OK you should visit the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace too.
