Wow! What a magnificent relic the Great Wall is. It was by far our favorite scenic spot of the trip. Not that the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace weren’t great in their own right… but the Great Wall is just on a whole other level. Part of its allure is that it is a man made marvel. To think that hundreds of thousands of people put their hands together to build this treasure is awe inspiring. As you can tell, we loved it, just look at how many pics we took =p. The Great Wall of China should be on everyone’s Bucket List. =) For the curious few, the Great Wall stretches all over China.. as a result you can choose to visit multiple designated spots of the Wall. On our visit, we decided to visit the less busy (read: picture whoring friendly) but further away part: Mutianyu.
