The perfect summer dress to heat up winter

I thought I’d celebrate the new ;prettyGeeky design with one of my favorite photo shoots this past year.

Here’s the back story:
It’s always sunny blue skies in California… which is great for most outdoor activities, but not so much for photography. With portraits, I want to see nice dramatic colors in the sky! Well, one lucky weekend this past summer, we woke up to the most perfect cloudy day (first thing I do every morning: I look at the sky for clouds). We knew exactly what was on each others minds! Here are some of my favorite shots of Kay looking gorgeous in her yellow dress. Hope you guys like them as much as I do.

Here is the BTS shot: Simple tip, set up your lights and use the setting sun for an amazing back light. You will need to act fast because the sun will set quickly; it will leave you with about 30mins of prime lighting conditions.

You should post more pics of yourself. You look enchanting. I do love this dress especially on you. The color of the dress is the same color as the sky in one of the shots. I love those shoes too.

Thanks for the kind words Bao. Next time we’re in MN, we’ll make sure to go out and do a shoot with you and Millie.
