The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup

On Sunday I watched the Oscars show AND without falling asleep once, yahoo! And I am reasonably glad I didn’t. The ladies in their fashionable attire and the I’d-hit-that! Gerard Butler kept me from dozing off. I didn’t have any major “wow” moments but I thought Tina Fey looked magnificent in her sexy Micheal Kors dress; Kate Winslet looked so pretty but her modest Yves Saint Laurent gown was a bit of a fail; I was in awe of Meryl Streep in a white Chris March dress, she glowed with such beauty and grace; and Ben Stiller was just hilarious in his skit as one of the Na’vi. Even though I wasn’t head-over-heels about any one dress, I absolutely loved all the glamor and glitz so click through for more fabulous details!

I love Demi Moore in her gorgeous Atelier Versace gown. She looks like a flower in bloom and just so radiant! I also thought Rachel McAdams was a vision of loveliness in a pastel print Elie Saab dress. I would have so much fun with a dress like this in a photo shoot!

Demi Moore, Penelope Cruz, Rachel McAdams oscars 16 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Jennifer Lopez, Maggie Gyllenhaal oscars 14 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Amanda Seyfried in an Armani Privé gown. oscars 1 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Mariska Hargitay in Vera Wang. This woman is so good looking you can't help but to stop and stare. She definitely took after her famous mother, Jayne Mansfield. oscars 6 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Elizabeth Banks in Versace. I've seen this dress done so many times now that I'm not as impressed by it but that being said, she still looks quite beautiful...I love the glittery headband though! oscars 5 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Carey Mulligan, Anika Noni Rose oscars 13 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab. I love the draping on this dress and the color really plays off her skin well. oscars 2 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Vera Farmiga in Marchesa. As unflattering and quizzical as the dress may be, she really stands out in it. I love what she did with her hair and if I were giving out an award for favorite hairdo, this would be it! oscars 9 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Sandra Bullock in Marchesa. Flawless. From the sleek hair to pretty make-up to the incredible dress...in my opinion, she did everything right and made it look so easy! oscars 7 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Haute Couture. Even though this is a stunning creation...the pompom bottom looks all lumped together and seems bothersome to walk in. She is quite enjoying herself and posing away though! oscars 10 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup

Oh Charlize, why?? She was utterly gorgeous as always but her simple Dior gown was...far from it. My worst dress award would definitely go to her because I expected so much more from her!

Kristen Stewart, Kate Winslet, Charlize Theron oscars 19 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Queen Latifah, Tina Fey, Miley Cyrus oscars 18 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta. She was all smiles and I'm sure it had everything to do with feeling spectacular in her shimmery golden sequined gown! She looks great from head to toe and working it with ease and charm. oscars 3 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Deborah Ann Woll, julianne moore, Nicole Richie, Helen Mirren oscars 17 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Sarah Jessica Parker in Chanel Couture. I love this girl! I think she looks wonderful and certainly tries to live up to Carrie Bradshaw's reputation for having unique and fabulous taste in designer clothing. oscars 8 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Molly Ringwald, Mariah Carey, Virginia Madsen, Sigourney Weaver oscars 15 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Diane Kruger in Chanel. As much as I love the idea of different textures to create more visual interest, the dress looks like a clingy mess from the waist to her knees...I just can't get on board on this one! oscars 4 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup Date night for: Suzy Amis and James Cameron, Sam Worthington and Natalie Mark, Matt Damon and Luciana Damon oscars 11 The Oscars red carpet fashion roundup

Sam Worthington is sexy, that’s no doubt, but I couldn’t stand his shoes when I saw him on the red carpet

Anna Kendrick and Sandra Bullock win my vote for pulling off the most polished look. And of course an Honorable Mention for Queen Latifah… she was looking very fine indeed!

      @ Mary
Yes, I loved Queen Latifah’s dress and overall appearance! She usually makes great choices for showing off her curves to their greatest advantage. I’m always thrilled when I see her at these events because she knows how to bring it!

      @ Panhia
lol, heck yeah! …but mostly because she seems to put forth a lot of effort into creating a look and making a statement with it. She is Miss high-end-whore extraordinaire so I wouldn’t expect anything less from her. =D I loved watching Rachel McAdams walk down the stage because her dress flowed around her so prettily!

What? SJP? I thought that dress looked horrible on. I just didn’t really get the design. The neck piece just didn’t do it for me. The front jewels and diamonds already make a statement and then there goes that hideous neck strap thingy? Not doing it for me. Plus, the dress didn’t really have any shape at all. I think the designer went a little over board on the jewels/diamonds in the back below her butt. Just not cutting it for me. Also, SJP hair? OMG, the stupid frizzy stuff? it was bothering me sooo bad. Not digging the hair either. It looks like someone put a balloon to her head and got it all staticy. But on a good note, I did like Cruz, McAdam, and Moore’s dresses. =D
