Susan was one of the first to contact us before our mid west trip. She’s always had such kind words for us, we were excited to finally meet up with her. A few emails back and forth brainstorming some creative ideas led us to this beautiful scenic park in die-hard Packer land… Green Bay, WI.
Click through for a rainy detour, mosquito country and of course the photos.
But before that, we just wanted to thank those of you who reached out to us for photoshoots. The first half of our mid-west swing has been very busy… but also very rewarding. Meeting some of you incredible people out there has been so much fun. Thank you Wisconsin… now off to Minnesota!
We had planned the shoot a few weeks in advance… but apparently we brought the rain with us from Portland. Do you know what’s worst than rescheduling due to rain? Shooting the next day in humid muggy weather… yup, the perfect conditions for an awakening of blood thirsty mosquitoes. Susan was a trooper; she wasn’t afraid of getting a little dirty, some buzzing insects didn’t scare her… and to top all of that, she did this photoshoot in between her work shift! Is she awesome or what?
Here are some of her photos, I hope you enjoy them. Check out her crazy cool dimples!

It’s amazing what you can find in a little neighborhood park. A few days before the shoot, we went out to scope the park and found this wonderful nature trail. This hidden jewel was tucked away towards the back of the park. It was a section of the trail with tall trees and a canopy overhead that created a natural tunnel perfect for our kind of photographs. Yays!
I must also note that I am now a firm believer in Coleman 100% DEET bug repellent. We picked it up at the local Wal-mart, it worked wonders during the shoot. With the bug repellent applied, you could hear the buzzing, you could see them approaching… but you could also see them bust a U-turn away from your bare skin. Must have sucked being a mosquito… ;p
Last but not least, a special thank you to P-Unit P.Lee for assisting during this shoot. I hope this was both fun and educational for you =).

Thanks much, hope to seeing more wonderful pictures on your upcoming trips and adventrues. THANKS
very pretty pictures….i have a simple questions… i was shooting in raw and when i upload it on my computer i am having a hard time to see it in adobe….how do i change it into a jpeg format so i could do some editing on my pictures….it’s so frausting for me….plz help…and i deleted from my sd card already too….
@Jenny
If Adobe Photoshop does not open your raw files, you need to install the Adobe Camera Raw plugin. This will allow you to open your raw files > process them > save as a jpeg inside photoshop. For more information you can read this article from Adobe: Unable to open Camera Raw in Photoshop.
Alternatively, you can use a program like Adobe Lightroom. Not only will it process your raw files, it has very useful cataloging features too.
Hope this helps.
As always, the pictures are beautiful! Her dimples are deep & cute!
Lol. Reminds me of my sister’s dimples. [: Can’t wait to see more shoots!
