We wanted our first picture post of the year to be a mega post! What better way than to share with you the lovely wedding day celebration between Erica & Sebastien. They were our fun and adventurous couple from our Corvallis engagement session. We were excited and very honored to have shared this beautiful day with them. =)

The day started bright and early; I love this part of the day because it often shows the intimate relationship shared between friends and family.
Finishing touches on hair and make-up…Erica was absolutely gorgeous!

With everyone ready we headed out to a nearby park for the fun informal formals ;p. I always love the warm reaction the bridal party gets from local joggers and bikers. And look what we found! A willow tree that provided the perfect backdrop for the couple.
Erica and Sebastien exchanged their vows at St. Pius X, the family’s long time parish.
The wedding reception was held at the beautiful Tiffany Center in downtown Portland,OR. We captured some of our favorite photos in the foyer and walkway in front of the venue. The playfulness of the bridal party made the simple street side photos come alive with joy and merriment.
It’s always neat seeing our name tags on wedding tables! BTW, look below for a friendly reminder for those of you who aren’t quite sure which one of us is the “Pretty” and the “Geeky”. =p *dodge*
After all the heartfelt toasts and key moments, everyone jumped on the dance floor and got the party started!

how do you guys get it so that everyone look so very well lit up instead of the flash focusing on one person

Instead of direct flash, bounce it off the ceiling to illuminate more of everyone. You should also drag your shutter to capture more of the ambient light.
