When we first met up with Amy & Cong, they shared with us their unique story of falling in love half-way across the globe. These globe trekkers are two of the most genuine people you’ll meet and we were so fortunate they decided to have their wedding in our backyard, Portland, OR. Amy and Cong held their intimate wedding at the outdoor Leach Botanical Garden. Did I mention how much I love outdoor weddings?! Not just because of its openness but also because of the abundance of beautiful natural daytime light. Yay!
The first thing we look for when we get to the venue? The fabulous dress of the day of course!

A gray suit plus bow-tie? Hello handsome!

The guys struttin’ Cong’s signature pose.

It always puts a smile on my face (even if I’m behind the camera!) when I’m photographing a playful couple like these two.

… it wasn’t long before everyone was doing his signature pose!
This father daughter moment gets me every time! =)

Instead of just saying a speech, Amy’s maid of honor decided to sing it instead! It was quite funny and very sweet and I love Amy’s reaction to it!

Amy & Cong:
It was truly a blessing, not only to be a part of your heartfelt wedding, but also to be surrounded by so many familiar faces and mutual friends at YOUR wedding! May the two of you celebrate the rest of your days together as well as you did your first. Congratulations!

Okay, I don’t know if it’s because John and I are celebrating out 10yr anniversary this year or not but these photos totally make me want to marry my husband all over again! The bride looked stunning in her dress and the groom was so very handsome in his get up as well
I loved the colors they chose and the outdoor setting just added to the romance of it all.
If you’ll be in WI this spring, let me know! I would LOVE to do a 10yr anniversary shoot with you two. Miss Kay, I would love to go dress shopping with you as you always look stunning in your gowns
