I love cultural weddings because you are always surrounded by so much love between friends and family. We first met Hai and Lynne for their engagement session on the riverfront and we were looking forward to their traditional Vietnamese wedding ever since. We knew the day would be full of vibrant laughter, smiles and cherished moments and were so excited for the two of them. Here are photos capturing their special day, I hope you love their story as much as we do.
There is just something classic and timeless about a lacy dress. And Lynne looked simply stunning in it. Loved her dress!
That special moment when the bride and groom read each other’s letters! It’s always full of genuine heartfelt emotion.
As part of the traditional Vietnamese wedding, the morning started early with the procession of the groom’s family to the bride’s family to formally receive the bride.
I love cultural weddings because the celebration never ends! After the bride is received, everyone heads to the groom’s family for another ceremony (with much fanfare.. fireworks!)
Our radiant bride. <3 Lynne was stunning in her lacy wedding gown.
Lynne’s orchid hair clip was so beautiful and quite possibly one of my favorites ever!
A captured moment we just had to share! Tall trees make a great natural backdrop.. but you must watch out for falling branches! =)
Grooms with a sense of humor rock!
Lynne and Hai’s beautiful reception was held at the Ambridge Center in the heart of Portland,OR. I loved the uplit drapery that decorated the walls of the ballroom.
The videographer is friends of the groom. BTW, he’s getting married this year and we’re also photographing his wedding! Yay!
The party games were intense! Definitely lots of fun.
Lynne and Hai:
It’s always so heart warming witnessing two families coming together. We’re so thankful to have been a part of your special day. May your days together always be as blessed and cherished as your first.
