We’re so excited to share with you the many memories captured of Jennie & Michael’s beautiful wedding day. And this wedding was everything an intimate affair should be — the merging of two families as one. I loved how family-centric their wedding was. It started with a ceremony on the grounds of the Shawnee Inn Golf and Resort (which is alongside the Delaware River AND where Michael practically grew up on!)… and then finished with a fun reception dinner with friends and family.
But before we get into the photos, there’s a little back story of our bride I must share! I’ve always believed in the saying, “Everything happens for a reason.” And even more so now because of the sequence of events that led up to this beautiful Pennsylvania wedding where pretty much we had the best time ever!
We first met Jennie at a mutual friend’s CA wedding in which she was a bridesmaid…and a beautiful one at that! We were seated with her at our appropriately titled: infamous table 10 (see photos from that link right there!) and soon realized the thoughtful bride and groom had sat all of us Oregonians together. We had just recently relocated to OR and could have easily been the odd pair out but our table was full of great people, all with fun on their minds–lucky us! Fast forward to the following year, Jennie was again a bridesmaid in her brother’s wedding we had the honor of photographing (turns out she hadn’t forgotten about us! lol).
And well, my friends…that leads us to the present–our beautiful and sweet Jennie’s turn! If you are wondering about the itty bitty flower girl dress? It belongs to their darling baby girl, Lilah. Isn’t she just the prettiest little thing?!
Faith, Hope and Love… but the greatest of these is Love.
The Best Man for Michael’s wedding was his Dad! <3
Being the sappy romantic-at-heart photogs we are, the first look moment between bride and groom is always a favorite one for us.
Michael and Jennie, we are a thousand times honored for allowing us be a part of your exceptional day! We hope you love your photos as much as we do. Thank you for sharing with us your love story and for welcoming us into your family — on more than one occasion! =) Let us know when you’re back in town!
