As I was collecting pictures for this post, I didn’t feel as wildly excited as I was about last year’s dresses. There were two exceptions though! The first was Drew Barrymore in Atelier Versace. I couldn’t decide if the embellishments on her shoulder and hip looked more like fiber optic lights or some type of sea anemone but it’s rather intriguing and she looked sensational in it I thought! Another one I really admired for its stunning construction was Jennifer Carpenter’s burgundy Basil Soda gown, beautiful pleated detailing and color! I am indebted to designers for producing such lovely eye candy!

So it wasn’t a spectacular night in terms of wow factor for me but let’s not forget that a boring dress can always be made better by adding accessories! I loved these pieces pictured below in particular! Each helped to achieve the right look whether it be whimsical, refined, edgy, traditional, etc. I think jewelry was my first love; I use to work in retail and I would take my lunch breaks in the jewelry department…needless to say, that’s where all my paychecks went…but it made me happy and being happy sometimes means having a lot of pretty junk. =/

I wasn’t wowed by any one look but Jennifer Love Hewitt looked very pretty in a Robert Rodriguez dress as did Taylor Swift in an Angel Sanchez gown.

You can tell if a woman is trying really hard to look good and that is not the case here. Even into her 40′s, Monica Bellucci is a remarkable beauty and she is aging ever so gracefully! I love the color of her Christian Dior gown and it really shows off her amazing figure.

Heidi Klum unveiled The Perfect One Bra at The Grove in Los Angeles wearing a sexy fitted Victoria Beckham dress and YSL platform pumps; her rings are drop dead gorgeous! I wish their site would allow customer reviews like at Amazon. I am tempted to make my way into their store just to see what this bra of perfection is all about. =d

Thank you so much Molly Simms for wearing color and not just any old color of the rainbow but glorious fuchsia. I admit I may be a bit partial due to the fact that I adored these. Also, aside from the suggestive peek-a-boo portion of her Christian Dior dress, Sharon Stone looked phenomenal for her age!

Kate Beckinsale is ever the predictable one but she always looks beautiful regardless and I Love all of the jewelry she chose; very extravagant and flashy but still tasteful.

Helena Christensen and Elle Macpherson unquestionably lived up to their supermodel statuses, they both looked like divine goddesses on the red carpet. Uma Thurman was equally stunning in a glittery frock but the disheveled updo left much to be desired. Some trends I noticed were: corresponding clutches, peep toe heels, rings or bracelets as statement pieces.

Nicola Roberts dress was fairytale fabulous! I was so enchanted by The Little Mermaid when I first saw it and that same girlie excitement overcame me again when I saw this J Mendel gown. From head to toe she was channeling Princess Ariel. Way cool. Uh huh – wait til Halloween, I know what I want to be! =d

From fishtail dresses to sexy lean legs, I was so envious of Kylie Minogue’s shapely gams. She looked ravashing in all her ensembles, lucky girl!
