Finally, we can talk about the important things, the red carpet dresses, yay! =p My top 3 picks: Natalie Portman looked lovely and all-a-glow in a white Azzaro gown. Lea Michele was super sexy in a slinky Oscar de la Renta. Lastly, even though Mila Kunis looked gorgeous, I went with Amy Adams…white is a hard color to pull-off but she looked so graceful and elegant in it.

Mila Kunis: How gorgeous is this girl?! I LOVED her wavy hair and smokey eyes – so mesmerizing those eyes! She’s in an Alexander McQueen creation so, of course, it’s a dress you will get noticed in.

January Jones, Julianna Margulies, Jane Leeves, Amy Adams: Amy adams was wearing one of the major trends of the night, a pony tail. Check out the Pretty Junk she was wearing with a very body-conscious dress…she made it look so easy!

Tina Fey: This look was the best that I’ve seen from her in a while, beautiful styling from head to toe. Red was a popular choice for this awards show.Pretty Junk

Angie Harmon: She is a beautiful mother of three and appears to have found the fountain of youth. Angie looked so enchanting in this Monique Lhuillier ballgown.

Cara Buono, Jenna Ushkowitz, Amber Riley: Jenna Ushkowitz was all smiles showing off her Pretty Junk but who could blame her?! I love me some super-sized diamond rings too!

Heather Morris, Julia Stiles, Kelly Macdonald: I loved all three of these ladies dresses and you can see the reason why, they have the same shape! A sweetheart neckline, cinched in waist, and long flowing skirt…this is the type of dress I would love to photograph!!! Pretty Junk on Heather Morris and more Pretty Junk from Julia Stiles.

Nicole Kidman: She is so tall and statuesque and I liked seeing her in this lacey Nina Ricci gown. The bow in the back was way cute!

Claire Danes: Belts was another look we saw a lot of. It’s a great way of creating curves and drawing attention to a tiny waist.

Dianna Agron, Helena Bonham Carter, Ariel Winter: I see another trend…black pumps and matching clutch.

Natalie Portman: Flawless. Beautiful hair and make-up and her clutch was pretty fetching too. See, what did I tell you? Flawless.

Melissa Leo, Annette Bening, Naya Rivera, Lea Michele: I didn’t even know Lea Michele had such a slender and attractive figure but she totally owns the goods. One of my favorite dresses of the night and another hair and make-up perfect combo.

Jennifer Lawrence, Mindy Kaling, Eva Longoria, Hilary Swank: Hilary Swank looked soft and pretty in a champagne colored Versace gown. Pretty Junk

Kim Kardashian: I loved her hourglass figure in this dress and the color complimented her nicely.

Sofia Vergara, Jenna Fischer, Mariska Hargitay, Susan Sarandon: Sexy Sofia, she has the most enviable curves and I loved the bold color of her Roberto Cavalli gown. Pretty Junk

There were an abundance of hairstylists who opted to do elegant and outrageous updos on the celebs. Naomi Watts was a vision in a multi-tiered shimmery Armani Privé gown and sleek updo. She looked heavenly in it but my favorite dress was the pale pink chiffon Gucci number -loved the pop of red lip color too, she looked every part the silver screen siren. Naomi Watts is girl crush material, she just does not disappoint on the red carpet!

Salma Hayek was such a bombshell, a knockout in all shades of red! I loooved this woman’s endless curves in a stunning pink Gucci Première gown…I was also drooling all over myself over this huge rock on her hand!

I don’t watch many Asian films so I’m not familiar with her but even so, Fan Bing Bing did not go unnoticed as she looked fabulous making the rounds on the red carpet. She has a soft and feminine quality about her but isn’t afraid to take risks as shown by wearing this symbolic gold dress. Stunning embroidery, just not one of my favorites overall.

Camilla Belle was a delight to see at Cannes; a pretty ice princess that usually gets on my best dressed list. I adored her in the black strapless Gucci Première gown with unique bead design…I’m always a little self-conscious about the girls getting too much showtime so I love the idea of a stylish sheer panel to conceal them a bit. Thumbs up to the modesty flap.

Diane Kruger looked outstanding in this pink and black Jason Wu gown…the ruching and fit were superb! The modesty flap showed up again but this time in the form of a lacey panel.

You can always rely on Georgina Chapman to bring beauty and glamour to every event she attends. This designer’s creations are so awe-inspiring and I always look forward to celebs paying homage to her gorgeous gowns. The white empire waisted gown looked so flattering on her I thought for a second that she had had the baby already and did a quick google search before enviously coming to the conclusion that she’s just blessed with the goods. The gigantic ornaments she paired with the look were awesome!

I loved her Zuhair Murad gown from the Met Gala and now this?! Jennifer Lopez loves couture and the gowns she has been wearing recently have been wowing me left and right. I loved the details of this pink feathery Roberto Cavalli dress and for better or worse, she certainly stood out in it!

What can I say about this woman but that she is one classy dame! I was taken away with Helen Mirren…she wins me over every time with her style and elegance. Diane Lane, Aishwarya Rai, and Doutzen Kroes were modern day muses in long flowing dresses.

Now we come to my consistently best dressed from the Cannes Film Festival: Kate Beckinsale! I love nothing better than seeing beautiful women look their best and she did it again and again (and set to repeat). It was refreshing how she changed up her hairdos with every ensemble and kept each look sophisticated and not too over the top. Even doing casual chic in a plum and rose-coloured Christian Dior ensemble, she still looked radiant with her beautiful smile ever present (is charmed by her).

And now we crown my favorite dress! I was fascinated by Kate Beckinsale’s Armani Privé dress which she wore at the AMFAR party. The shape of the dress reminded me of a calla lily and it wrapped around her figure very alluringly. It’s unique, sexy, and sparkly…who coud resist?! Not to mention that stunning teardrop diamond ring is sooooo ready to be mine! =d

I love Demi Moore in her gorgeous Atelier Versace gown. She looks like a flower in bloom and just so radiant! I also thought Rachel McAdams was a vision of loveliness in a pastel print Elie Saab dress. I would have so much fun with a dress like this in a photo shoot!

This woman is so good looking you can't help but to stop and stare. She definitely took after her famous mother, Jayne Mansfield. Elizabeth Banks in Versace. I've seen this dress done so many times now that I'm not as impressed by it but that being said, she still looks quite beautiful...I love the glittery headband though! Carey Mulligan, Anika Noni Rose Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab. I love the draping on this dress and the color really plays off her skin well. Vera Farmiga in Marchesa. As unflattering and quizzical as the dress may be, she really stands out in it. I love what she did with her hair and if I were giving out an award for favorite hairdo, this would be it! Sandra Bullock in Marchesa. Flawless. From the sleek hair to pretty make-up to the incredible dress...in my opinion, she did everything right and made it look so easy! Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Haute Couture. Even though this is a stunning creation...the pompom bottom looks all lumped together and seems bothersome to walk in. She is quite enjoying herself and posing away though!

Oh Charlize, why?? She was utterly gorgeous as always but her simple Dior gown was...far from it. My worst dress award would definitely go to her because I expected so much more from her!

Kristen Stewart, Kate Winslet, Charlize Theron Queen Latifah, Tina Fey, Miley Cyrus Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta. She was all smiles and I'm sure it had everything to do with feeling spectacular in her shimmery golden sequined gown! She looks great from head to toe and working it with ease and charm. Deborah Ann Woll, julianne moore, Nicole Richie, Helen Mirren Sarah Jessica Parker in Chanel Couture. I love this girl! I think she looks wonderful and certainly tries to live up to Carrie Bradshaw's reputation for having unique and fabulous taste in designer clothing. Molly Ringwald, Mariah Carey, Virginia Madsen, Sigourney Weaver Diane Kruger in Chanel. As much as I love the idea of different textures to create more visual interest, the dress looks like a clingy mess from the waist to her knees...I just can't get on board on this one! Date night for: Suzy Amis and James Cameron, Sam Worthington and Natalie Mark, Matt Damon and Luciana Damon

This time around there was a little something for everyone it seemed; a variety of dresses ranging from soft and flowy to sparkly and embellished to patterned fabrics. One of my absolute favorites was Mariana Klaveno in a fabulous red ruffled chiffon gown by L.A. designer Ina Soltani. It made her skin just glow! She looked breathtaking and a bit like Snow White..or how I imagine she’d look like at least. =d I am also in love with Vera Farmiga in her pretty pale blue J.Mendel dress! This designer is one to watch, I adore his work!

I love the attention to details on this dress, front to back, it's a stunner! Sandra Bullock, Sarah Hyland, Jenna Fischer, toni collette Julie Benz, Drew Berrymore, Paula Patton Anna Kendrick in Alberta Ferretti. What a great color, she really stands out in the frilly dress. Holly Hunter, Deborah Ann Woll, Lauren Sanchez jane krakowski, Mariah Carey, Adrianna Costa, Courtney Ford Mariana Klaveno, Christina Hendricks, Jayma Mays, Carey Mulligan Kate Hudson in Emilio Pucci. The dress gives the appearance of broad shoulders but is balanced out by also making her look long and slender. Talk about back side...what a sexy back curve she has! Niecy Nash, Dianna Agron, Katrina Bowden Vera Farmiga in J. Mendel. She is practically floating on the red carpet...such femininity! I really like her subtle and understated style.

As I was collecting pictures for this post, I didn’t feel as wildly excited as I was about last year’s dresses. There were two exceptions though! The first was Drew Barrymore in Atelier Versace. I couldn’t decide if the embellishments on her shoulder and hip looked more like fiber optic lights or some type of sea anemone but it’s rather intriguing and she looked sensational in it I thought! Another one I really admired for its stunning construction was Jennifer Carpenter’s burgundy Basil Soda gown, beautiful pleated detailing and color! I am indebted to designers for producing such lovely eye candy!

So it wasn’t a spectacular night in terms of wow factor for me but let’s not forget that a boring dress can always be made better by adding accessories! I loved these pieces pictured below in particular! Each helped to achieve the right look whether it be whimsical, refined, edgy, traditional, etc. I think jewelry was my first love; I use to work in retail and I would take my lunch breaks in the jewelry department…needless to say, that’s where all my paychecks went…but it made me happy and being happy sometimes means having a lot of pretty junk. =/

Thank you so much Molly Simms for wearing color and not just any old color of the rainbow but glorious fuchsia. I admit I may be a bit partial due to the fact that I adored these. Also, aside from the suggestive peek-a-boo portion of her Christian Dior dress, Sharon Stone looked phenomenal for her age!

Kate Beckinsale is ever the predictable one but she always looks beautiful regardless and I Love all of the jewelry she chose; very extravagant and flashy but still tasteful.

Ziyi Zhang looked feminine and pretty in a nude silk chiffon Armani Privé dress at the 2009 Vanity Fair Oscar party. Her lustrous hair, simple and elegant accessories, and gorgeous platform shoes, made it my favorite look of the night.
