Pretty Geeky

I went to see Get Smart this past holiday weekend, thrilling, I know. Anyways Get Smart was a pretty good movie with an entertaining cast and some cool and sexy (thanks to Agent 99) action scenes. It’s a must see if you’re looking for a few laughs; the laser scene was hilarious and again, very sexy, thanks to Anne Hathaway.

I was quite unexpectedly charmed by Anne Hathaway and was really impressed with her in this movie. She’s also become quite the fashion icon too but after doing The Devil Wears Prada, no doubt she picked up a few pointers.

I have to mention that after the bf and his friends watched the movie, they went to the local Blockbuster to rent an Anne Hathaway movie. =/

They ended up renting The Princess Diaries! Imagine a bunch of tall and brawny-looking guys going up to the counter with that! lol!

Of course they asked me to bring it up but of course I didn’t since laughing at them doing it was my joyous intent.

Coincidentally, me and the bf decided to watch Nicholas Nickleby (not a lot of choices at hulu, obviously ) on Sunday night and it was only fitting that none other than Miss Hathaway herself ended up being in that movie as well. The movie itself was alright, a little slow in the beginning but it got better once the main character beat some fools up!

She’s been in more movies than I realized. I’d like to see Havoc since I hear it has some juicy stuff *wink*wink.

Labels and love are the basis of the movie and with regards to entertaining a movie theater full of women, these two things are all you need.

The verdict is in and I loved it, of course! From beginning to end, it was an emotional roller coaster but what a fun and entertaining ride it was!

So without spoiling it for anyone, bring tissue and good girlfriend along to this must-see movie.

The last movie I saw at the theaters was The Forbidden Kingdom starring the charismatic Jackie Chan and Jet Li.

I have to say, I liked it! Not only for it’s breathtaking sets/locations and great action sequences but each character was believable, if not a little predictable, in their roles. I’m not a big fan of Jet Li but I rather enjoyed his portrayal of the carefree Monkey King. It was all very entertaining and comical to watch that I even forgot I had to use the bathroom! haha, I was also really rooting for the main character by the end of the movie to kick some ass with his new ninja skills and he did me proud! =D

Over the weekend, the bf and I needed some quality time together so he gave me 2 options; we could either (a) watch a movie (b) watch a movie, I naturally opted for (a) since I liked hearing it the first time more.

I love being able to get the movie theater experience while still maintaining an intimate atmosphere by watching it on our handy dandy projector.

Jerry Maguire, a story about a sports agent, wasn’t my idea of a “feel-good” movie….which is why I never felt inclined to see it in the first place but since the bf insisted and because it had a nice romantic theme song, Secret Garden, I was game. =D
